What is SaveTheMummers.com?

SaveTheMummers.com is a non-profit organization under the governance of the Mummers Museum. It was created in December 2008 to raise funds to preserve the history and tradition of the Philadelphia Mummers Parade, the oldest folk parade in the nation. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors representing each division of the Mummers (String Bands, Fancies, Fancy Brigades, Comics and Wench Brigades).

Borne out of an immediate need to address the impact of Philadelphia’s financial shortfalls, the organization is now focused on creating a wide coalition of supporters to assure the future of the Mummers and our parade. An ambitious development and marketing plan is being developed that, with your help, will assure the success of the Mummers into the future, and create a new model of how citizens and sponsors create partnerships to save our cultural treasures.
